Music in Saint-Porchaire

The Saint-Porchaire church is one of the rare churches with a double nave. It comes from a primitive Carolingian church from the 9th century of which only a facade wall and the crypt remain. In the second half of the 11th century, a superb Romanesque bell tower was built against this wall. Then the church itself was rebuilt from 1509 to 1520.

Initiative launched by Henry Jullien, Yuka Saïto and Augustin Lusson, Musique à Saint-Porchaire is a concert venue for all lovers of early music.
This concert season is led by The Beggar's ensemble and is supported by the city of Poitiers and the department of Vienne.
