This is not a record label.
Driven by a desire for independence from traditional music production circuits and their sometimes deviant commercial logic, Augustin Lusson, a young violinist and one of the founders of the Beggar's Ensemble, decided to create his own label: Bathos Records.
With his status as an artist and his experiences, his creative aim is therefore dedicated above all to and for artists.
Bathos Records aims to produce phonographic records specializing in early and acoustic music for those who wish to promote self-production and total artistic integrity; all at a reasonable and reasonable cost via mainly digital distribution and 100% self-produced records, without ever questioning the quality or restricting the initial spirit of the artists.
The label also offers support for its artists through promotion by providing an address book including contacts in the specialized press and the world of events. Connecting creators with professionals in the sector is one of the important challenges they generally face as emerging and independent artists. These steps are intended to free up time so that they can fully devote themselves to their creative process and thus give birth to their projects.
Beyond these services, Bathos Records aims to create a place conducive to the development of a certain alternative form with ancient music as its core. But alternative also means opening up to a wider world, whether through the subject or the form. Bathos Records, as a young label, is keen to be able and know how to evolve for and thanks to its artists. And that is how Eric Ho A Chuck joined this adventurous artistic enterprise.
